INNER CITY PROPERTIES
Inner city living is all about convenience. Having quick access to schools, shopping, parks and downtown. Over the past few years, the inner city boundary of Calgary has expanded to include communities such as Killarney/Glengarry, Parkdale, Capital Hill, Highland Park, Inglewood and Windsor Park.
Many of the single family homes found within the inner city, were built before 1960. Some of which dating back to the early 1900’s. At the same time, some communities with the inner city, are being revitalized and new infill properties are being built. With a wide range of property types and budgets, the inner city communities of Calgary attract all types of people, including professionals, families and students.
Neighbourhood restaurants and shops are a short distance away, many of which you can walk to. Areas like Marda Loop or Inglewood showcase the uniqueness of these communities, while major shopping plazas hold the big box stores.
With an active lifestyle in mind, many residents can be found walking their dogs, playing at the park, or riding the bicycles. With a taste for entertainment, it is not uncommon for friends to get together at the many ethnic restaurants, the neighbourhood pub, or the local ice cream parlor.
A lazy summer day can be spent floating down the river, learning about the animals at the Calgary Zoo, or spent at the grounds for 10 days of excitement during the Calgary Stampede. During the winter, you’ll find many avid skiers and snowboarders at Canada Olympic Park, while community skating rinks host hockey for all ages.
