Affordable Acreages

Affordable Acreages

If the idea of living on an acreage appeals to you, but you don’t think you can afford the price of admission, don’t despair. There are some areas around Calgary where affordable acreages can still be found.

Alberta’s QE2 Highway serves as a sort of dividing line, with more expensive acreages to the west and more affordable ones to the east, both north and south of Calgary.

Many people like the idea of owning a larger piece of property, and appreciate the potential for going “off the grid” in the future, using solar power and geothermal heat technology.

Choosing a Realtor who specializes in the ins and outs of this type of real estate is a real asset. Not only will you need to understand your water situation, sewer and utilities – but what about the number of animals or buildings permitted on the property? Or where your mail will be delivered, if there is a school bus pick up, or how long it will take for your to mow your lawn?

If you are interested in an acreage, let’s connect! Whether you are looking for a few acres just to get out of the City, or looking to have a few horses in the mountains, I’m here to help and enjoy the drive.
